So if a self back-patting football "guru" misses on 5 out of

9 straight-up picks this past weekend, does that mean he loses his "guru" card? This is the type of guy who constantly posts "I told you so" type stuff and is always berating others as if he knows more about the game than anyone else. He is always challenging people on his football knowledge, but I have yet to see any type of retraction for his typically awful performance at predicting college football games straight-up. I wonder why that is? Heck, my pet parakeet can hit 4 out of 9!

If you can go over 50% ever week then you must be filthy rich.

Seriously? Straight-up?

I wish Vegas would give me that option. I could win more than 50%, and I'm not even a self-professed football guru!

telling everyone they are ignorant compared to me in regards to football.
I don't go around acting as if I should have my own national football knowledge show.
I don't go around challenging anyone who questions my opinions on football.
All of this has got to be some of the silliest stuff currently going on the site. But anyway, I digress. Here are my guesses:
Clemson-Miami -- CLEMSON Texas-Oklahoma -- OKLAHOMA TAMU-Oklahoma St -- OK ST Wisconsin-Mich St -- MICH ST Northwestern-Minnesota -- NORTHWESTERN Va Tech-NC State NC STATE Texas Tech-Iowa State -- TEXAS TECH Kentucky-Mississippi -- UK Kansas-Baylor -- BAYLOR
What about you? What are your guesses? By the way, are you Walt Diptoola?
And, of course, most importantly, I wanna know what york_guru, errr, _tiger has to say about it.
j/k york, don't have a hissy

But he just had a bad weekend and...

over time since he has been on the show he has made listeners a lot of money. hahaha what a joke that guy is. He has a 2 hr radio show where the only people that can listen to him is people within a 30 mile radius. Noone outside of this area has even heard of him. He looks like a fat bum and works for a cheap radio station. Sure he has made other people alot of money but none for himself. What a tool.

I'm talking about a regular poster on this board. His posts are chock full of "I know more than you.." type stuff. Obnoxious in a similar way to the fat bum you are referring to, and yeah, I agree on the fat bum.

Since you are constantly thumbs downing my posts...

I assume you mean me...
I took ND and Oregon St. to win in upsets... both lost
I had SCU over Auburn... lost
I had GT over NCST... lost
I can't remember the other one I missed....
However, I'm not sure why you choose to post what you do. I've never said anything remotely out of line to you or anyone else when it comes to football.
If you want to have a real football discussion... anytime.

A) I don't constantly thumb down yours or anyone's posts. Kinda funny you'd give yourself that much credit though. Apparently you think I'm wholly responsible for your poor rating? I vote for posts both good and bad. I don't pay any attention to who's behind them.
B) To that point, I've noticed you seem awfully full of yourself for no good reason. If I've voted down a lot of your all-knowing nonsense, then so be it. So have a lot of other people, apparently.
C) To that point, it's kinda funny that it hurts your feelings. Really.
D) Thanks for owning up to your self-imagined guru-ability. It's quite annoying. One would think that your incessant attempts to appear smarter than ANYONE concerning football would subside with repeated inaccuracies, but there seems to be no stopping your sense of empowerment. Why is that?
E) It's not personal. These are just facts.
Have a good 'un. Go Tigers!
