Frogg Toggs
Wore a frogg togg suit to the ND game in 2015 and the only part of me that got wet was my feet because rain soaked through my boots.
Wal-Mart and any outdoors store carries them

my experience though is leakage after about 4 or 5 uses. You can get light weight for cheap butt may want to get the regular jacket/pants for cooler temps. May want to size up for complete coverage.

Their products have come a long way since then.

MUCH more breathable and cooler than Tyvek, the industry standard.
Still, if you have to wear it to work in conditions above 75-80F it will be hot.
It does breath though. This is the film that is (or at least was) it in:

As McLovin said, size up one size so you can still fit in your normal clothes underneath of it and feel comfortable and not restricted. I still have my pair of pants I break out every rain game. Wore them in Hurricane Matthew (also against ND) with a rain jacket. My torso was soaked, but my legs were dry as the desert.

This is what my mom did the one time I got to gosnow skiing:

We were UDP...really UDP. She knew it would probably be the only time in my upbringing that I would be able to go snow skiing. I was also 12, so growing like a weed. So she really didn't want to spring for some bibs. She chose a sacrificial outfit (ended up being camo pants and a sweatshirt). She bought 2 cans of scotchgard, and that stiff outfit was some serious waterproof. No melted snow got through, but I was soaked from sweat.
