LSU and Auburn

Gene Chizik took home a $7.5 million buyout when he was fired from Auburn in 2012 — 2 years after leading the Tigers to a national championship.

Now LSU with Ed Orgeron.

Now these are too athletic directors/boards of directors who know when they have used and gotten the best of whatever tool they had and are not intimidated in the least to cut the cord.

Alabama has its program with Saban. We have our program with Dabo. The beat goes on.

LSU and Auburn recognized that they simply had lightning in a bottle for a year and they moved on. I know there are lots of back stories in each case, but boy they were able to move on

There seemed to be "factions" at LSU that didn't want Ed

Orgeron to begin with. They didn't waste a lot of time cutting him loose after he got them a Natty.

When it comes to athletics, especially football, the sec doesn't mess around.

At Clemson, it's a little different. We not only give them 5 or more years but we give them contract extensions to make it more costly if we do have to fire them.

Look at Brownell.

Look at the former women's basketball coach.
