National Banged-up Assoc.
National Boorish-thug Assoc.

Or you fill in the "B".

This is a pathetic "league". Thuggery and reprisals from stars. More injuries to stars and other players than you can count, diluting the play. Way too many games played.

A lot of individualism. A lot of coddled whiners and such (esp that Dufus Mr. Howard, possibly the most over-rated player in the history of the sport).

Very little drama, and very predictable first-rounds that are played merely for business dollars. Sweeps all over the place. Not very competitive. Bring back the NCAA tourney any day, over this nonsense.

One can get the full story from the "lowlights", and skip all the other monotony.

What say you, now, you "three"? (actually I've counted six of you followers out there).

Flame away at the messenger all you want, it doesn't change a thing about the NBA "product".

night, and during that time I saw 3 of the most obvious, foot shuffling, giant stepping, blatant travels you can imagine, which of course went uncalled. Some of the worst shoving and hacking I've ever seen, which of course, went uncalled for the most part. And of course, the blatant carry, where the players put their hands all the way under the ball, hold it there for a second, then bounce it before catching it again and repeating, over and over, and of course the refs have apparently agreed or been instructed that palming/carrying the ball is an archaic rule that is to be ignored. There was a player for Milwaukee who very blatantly did it every single time, even when he was under no pressure from a defender and was standing in place setting up the offense; hand under ball, holding in place for a second, turn it over and bounce it, catch it, hold it again with hand completely underneath, then bounce it again, etc..

I thought the NBA had cleaned up it's act a bit, and I actually enjoyed some of the games throughout the season, but what I have seen in the last few days is an abomination. Not only do I miss the great game that was played years ago, but now a whole generation is growing up thinking this garbage bullshite is basketball and sadly, will never know any better.

to a Lifetime movie.

They expect and hold high schoolers to a higher standard in some areas you mentioned.

I don't watch the NBA and probably never will. Just not my thing. I would like to know how a player who is medically cleared by doctors to play can just choose to sit out (Derrick Rose). I don't understand how that is his decision to make. If it is his to make then owners should be allowed to not pay salary. If you are not going to work and it has nothing to do with health you are not going to get paid.

The few times I saw bits and pieces of an NBA game this season it seemed like an all star game. A game where nobody seemed to really care about the outcome, but really cared about how they looked.

In my opinion the NBA is nothing more than bad reality television. It is becoming closer and closer to WWE.

You'd have to pay me to watch a full NBA game.
