start out the new season ranked in the top 4 or 5 if they want to make the CFP. It is really hard to claw your way up the ladder as the season progresses, esp. with an ACC schedule. Therefore, who the starting QB will be is critical and a struggling QB cannot be left in any game we play. We will have to go undefeated to make the CFP. QB is going to make us or break us, just as it did last year. Dabo has more options now, and he will use them to get us back to the CFP.

I understand what you’re saying, but I think a one loss clemson team that beats Norte dame on the road convincingly is in 10/10 times.

And I think we can start anywhere in top 25 and make playoffs. There will not be more than 1 undefeated team at the end of the year.

The best course of action is to win them all.
We have Notre Dame - but how good will they be.
Miami will be in year one under Cristobal - will he have them turned around? Miami has all the potential and set up in the world to be a powerful football school again in terms of being able to get talent. Many of the best players come from near campus - they have to have someone that can keep them around. Will they be better and "after Clemson beats them" will this be a quality win.
Nancy State - need to beat them for another what was it: 9 straight! Starting this year! But, hopefully, they are ranked. They should be as they apparently have a bunch of talent coming back. I hope they are and I hope they are riding high coming into this game.
Maybe we have some other surprise good teams on the schedule. Heck, Bama lost to an unranked opponent this past season. So, people who still discredits Dabo when he says "winning is hard" have no idea what the mindset is of a group of 18 - 24 y.o dudes and getting them to stay focused and playing together! It's hard!
We will be much better; as the QB play goes! We still enjoy a talent gap in the ACC currently which if used right should be the difference in most of our schedule. How well we are playing late will be critical.
Win them all and no worries about getting in or not though - just about doesn't matter about any other teams out there. Clemson unlike many other teams have played and beaten SEC schools! The voters know that.
