that Clemson plays Georgia Tech in Atlanta on the evening of 9/5/22 and has to turn around and play Furman at home just five short days later.
I realize it's Furman but dang. Thank you ACC for a whole four days (if that) to prepare, recover, and rehabilitate.

I like having the Labor Day night game with a game like Furman to follow as it will be good exposure. With the NFL off that weekend there will be a lot of football starved fans watching that normally wouldn't.

After our 3rd Offensive series I remember the announcers saying “This GT defense has really improved since last year”. I thought then, our offense will make quite a few defenses look greatly improved. Depending on which QB, we could have a few nail biters.

I know a donor at GT and he was telling me there is another "big time" donor that offered to pay out his contract himself and the AD declined it. That AD will go with the ship I guess.

Since Collins was hired, GT has the worst record in the ACC with a 9-25 record.
Which is worse than:
Duke (10-23)
Syracuse (11-24)
Louisville (18-19)
Boston College (18-18)
....and far behind Wake Forest (23-13).
For more fun... Last year, the Jackets went 3-9 and closed the season with six losses in a row, the final two by a combined score of 100-0.

in Collins case, he better put together a 10+ win season this year, or He Gone. I would say his seat is probably not just hot, it's boiling.
They probably still don't really miss Pawl that much, though.

GT knew when they hired Collins that it would take some time to completely retool a team that was built to run the triple option and install a more conventional spread offense. While he'll have to show steady improvement, I think he'll be given quite a bit of latitude.

When we torched Georgia Tech on a Saturday in the first Gameday game in Clemson where Spiller did the double juke on the sideline for a 50+ yard touchdown, then had to travel to Virginia Tech the following Thursday and lost. The scheduling did us no favors then either.

I’m not worried about the quick turnaround to Furman but it will be hard to attend the game Monday night and get to work Tuesday morning. For that reason we will probably stay home and watch it on TV. It will be a great TV game but I doubt the stands will be packed just because so many people will have to work the next day. I really wanted to see the new MB stadium but probably not going to this one. Maybe we’ll get a playoff game there. Either way - Go Tigers - Wreck tech!!!
