the #1 recruit, with this Harbor guy? According to 247, he is only the composite #19. Was he ranked #1 by some obscure recruiting service?

No, what I understand is he was the top rated athlete and 19 overall . Not number 1 overall. Nice pickup for them.

That's just their summer clucking in the off season, kind of like they will always be ranked in the top 5 in their off season ranking. It just a lot of we're great clucking until the season starts, then it's all about trash talking their HC!!!

That's the way it usually goes. Sadly, I do believe they have a coach this time. Still won't win their division but they'll be as good a team we'll see all year.

The only thing different this time around is they got a coach that can recruit.

I think he was the #1 "Athlete". When I first saw that I thought #1 overall but in this case "athlete" refers to position. He could play TE or DE therefore the athlete designation. I think he wants to play TE.

He has also been tabbed a "generational" track prospect and has thoughts of being in the next Olympics - whenever that is.

Yea if I’m that well thought of SC would not be on my list. Sounds like he has someone he knows there and wants to run track so who knows what will come of him playing football.

I may be thinking of another player, or maybe it was just bogus but someone said his girlfriend was going to scar. Came down to scar and Oregon. Which if your dream is track and Olympics, what better place than pac 10? Even though the sec is dominant in track.
