Because they know that even with their little streak going, that they still don't intimidate us.

It's like a kid who gets frustrated when he can't impress his big brother.

some major hurt and insecurity. No 5th place ring and 3 game winning streak can erase all their misery. Even if it was the best in school history. They're the Fredo's of college football

3 in a row is supposed to produce quaking fear in us

and command our respect, but it doesn't. It's troubling to us because of embarrassment, not fear, as it's more comparable to losing to Duke or Wake than to an actual quality program.

How many times have we won 3 or even 4 in a row against them? I can't even count. They were due to have a little run every 40 years or so, and so they have. Yawn.

More probations than bowl wins.....THAT'S the SCAR program in a nutshell.

A "5th place ring" will do that to you.

Their best team in history, still without any relevance whatsoever outside of Columbia, SC.

I get the feeling that they could go 14-0 and only expand their fan presence to one, maybe two more area Walmart stores. It's pretty sad when you think about it.

Because they have a loser culture. (and they have dating back to the civil war era - at least IMO)

Hiring a few "has been legends" has brought short term attention to South Carolina, (and their athletic programs) but at the end of the day, it hasn't changed their culture.

Unfortunately, Clemson has suffered from some of the same issues for the last 20 +/- years IMO. Luckily, (for Clemson) I believe it is at a smaller scale and is getting phased out as younger (more qualified) coaches are being hired.
