Just think it would be a huge waste of money. Heard James Thurn did, and wouldn't be suprised if that idiot called and wanted to schedule a meeting with the GB ceo.

Other than a certificate that says you are an owner, a vote, and an invitation to the annual stockholders meeting. It cannot be sold and has no value. I was gonna buy one, but the wifey said no!

back in the 90's when it was public. I bought 100 shares at $8/share, so I obviously had very little at risk. But it was VERY cool getting all the financial statements and other mailings.

A buyer came along decided to privatize and bought back all the shares. Bought them at $22/share. So I made a decent profit from that, but I would have preferred to kept my shares even if they were worthless, just to say "I am part owner of a MLB team".
