The Hammer broke Babe’s record that was thought could not be broken. One of baseball’s greatest hitters and a remarkable ambassador for the sport given the times.

Seeing the replays of his record breaking HR makes me smile.

His physical and mental strength, his health, and year-after-year consistently great play placed him ahead of other greats who could string together some strong years but not the decades of really good and great years that Hank produced. Go Braves!
