with loss to Pitt.

Since then in last 2 years @ DV it’s been a 1-point loss to that Mid-state football group and last year an OT loss to a tribe of Indians that bretfsu runs with, in his mind.

could have easily been undefeated Pitt ended that game on a 10-0 run after being down 9, i remember a few huge mistakes Watson threw a pick inside the pitt 5 yard line with a point lead. Then could not gain 1 inch from the 50 yard line on 3rd and 4th downs, then Pitt kicker made the kick of his life.


FSU game up 24-17 going in for a td fumble......then of course missing a 29 yard fg for the win.

South Carolina lose by one point. even with DJ not being able to complete a single pass, coaches refuse to run the ball with shipley or mafah.....still had a chance to win but antonio williams fumbles a punt return at 50 yard line with 1 minute left.


When you consider those are the only losses in 12 years, death valley is a very hard place to play.

don't know if the coaches called a pass (I have to doubt it), or gave Watson an option, or if Watson went rogue... but whoever decided to even attempt a throw at that juncture truly fell asleep at the wheel.

The game was a near-certain lock at that point if anything other than a turnover happened on that play. There were less than 6 min left, Clemson had the ball inside the ten, it was 2nd down on the 3. All Clemson had to do was either get a TD, or else waste about a minute and a half trying and then get a field goal, and the lead would have either been 15 with either 5 min or less left, or else 11 with probably about 4 min or so left, and the game would essentially be over.

I would put the KO return sugar huddle call right up there with the boneheaded calls that cost us another of these losses during this time...
