The mercenary Spurrier did Garcia absolutely no favors by excusing misdeed after misdeed, arrest after arrest until finally, after getting another quarterback talented enough to replace him, he kicked Garcia off the team.
Garcia learned nothing about discipline or personal responsibility under Spurrier's tutelage and it continues to plague him

Exactly right! If Spurrier had held him accountable, his life might be different now. Garcia was one of the toughest, most fearless QB's I've ever seen on qb keepers in college football. And when that sucker was on target with his passing, he was scary good, like against Bama and UF, but when he was bad (or drunk-you choose), well..........more often than not.
