Caucasian right now. Just went to the dollar general to get some toilet paper and on the way I couldn’t help but think about this and how lucky I am not to have to worry about getting my car window busted out and detained for no reason. I live on the outskirts of Charlotte and there are businesses shutting down left and right because their Hispanic employees are scared to go to work.

I ride the bus and train alone a lot. Even in the dark - soooo scary.

Yep…it’s all one big scare tactic/campaign. ICE isn’t in Charlotte to stop crime or round up large numbers of ‘illegals’. They just want to strike fear in the hearts of brown people. If they really wanted to round up large numbers of folks, they would be visiting the chicken/pork processors out in Eastern NC or the furniture plants in the western part of the state. They just want to hassle people in ‘blue’ cities as some sort of political retribution and/or as a dress rehearsal for voter suppression come the 2026 mid-terms and beyond.
My wife is a teacher and there have been a ton of kids absent the last few days…not because they or their parents have done anything wrong or illegal, but because they are afraid to leave the house or just don’t want to get hassled by a bunch of masked thugs.
Even some of my MAGA family members are starting to see the light. Hopefully more folks will come around in the next weeks/months as well and see this for what it is.
