Surprised that there aren't more reported concussions as much if any in soccer consistently. Especially the way that ball hits as many heads as it does.

That soccer ball ain't that soft ...you know.

Fix that problem by enacting a new rule. If a player fakes an injury it results in a penalty kick for the opposing team. Just the threat would stop the flopping.

That would be like giving 20 points the basketball team who’s opponent intentionally flopped. Would be way to severe and destroy the competitive integrity of the match. Doubt they would do something like that to screw up this sport given it’s popularity.

Heck of a soccer match - Netherlands and Argentina. The Dutch were so close to dead. And tensions with benches clearing adds a nice touch.

Was hoping for a Brazil Argentina semi, but since the Brazilians are already out, might as well hope the Dutch win since they are wearing orange.

They were doing a lot of imaging testing to see how much brain damage various individuals had from concussions. They found that soccer players had more than football players in general. All of the mini-concussions from heading the ball were more harmful than the big concussions from football.

I can't link it, but it was on the internet. Actually I remember because that is when they were in the middle of the do away with high school football, because it was so dangerous nonsense.
