There’s been reason to feel very concerned with our pitching. It’s understandable.

Pitching was good in the first half of season, then not so good in the second half.

But do I fully believe that Knaak would be able to have a good game in the second regional game? 100%.

The bullpen actually pitched very well in the ACC tournament. And we came very close to winning the first.



It’s up and down. But I see that the pitching (besides Darden) is on an upward trend.

The walk off win against Louisville may have provided some extra motivation, but I just believe this team has been thinking about the postseason and may have simply gotten complacent in the last month or so.

And the complacency was real. There were multiple occasions where Bakich or Bellenger chewed out the team or pitchers. That’s because of complacency and to get their heads out of their a**es.

This regional is what they’ve been waiting for. And I really think they will be a better team than we’ve seen all year.

I think playoff baseball is what we need and I expect us to play well.

I would agree with that. But my concern
is that 2nd half of the season, our era was 6.5. That was 6.5 against the bottom of the acc with the exception of 3 games against wake, one of which was knaak... depends on who the 2 seed is.

As for waiting for championship competition, I guess we didn't consider the Miami game a championship team. We can't keep hoping to score double digit runs every game.

That because Miami isn't a playoff team lol. They have a SLIGHT chance to get in since they beat us, but its still a toss up
