I think Dabo’s speech was spot on about not losing perspective. But I also think it’s natural for that to happen even for Dabo.

Dabo was super excited in 2015 and threw a pizza party after winning the ACC Champ heading into playoff.

That never happened again because the standard was raised

To be fair, Brad will probably throw a pizza party in LJ after he makes the Final Four.

But only the first time.

The Pizza Party was because we were ranked number 1 in the final CFP ranking going into the playoffs. When we were No 1 in the first poll Dabo said he didn't care, if we were ranked No 1 in the final poll then he would throw a Pizza Party!

That was an accomplishment, not a standard. When Dabo was hired and since, he wanted our program to be consistent. If we could be consistent at a high level some years would be special and some just really good. He has accomplished that goal. Even 12 years ago Dabo knew expecting a national championship was not reasonable. Some years it will simply be a really good team due to factors out of his control, miscalculations and sometimes mistakes. Now our delusional fans freak out and want a coach fired seemingly every other day and are never happy with the overall product
