The game I remember most was in 1990. Some who now whine on t-net were not even born.
I lived in Matthews which was a one-horse town back then. It did have a bar beside the police station, and I could walk there.

The 1990 NCAA Sweet Sixteen VS UConn was on TV there.
It was standing room only in the bar. The game was very good, all were drunk.

Tigers nailed the winning shot with 1.7 seconds to go and the bar erupted. I was so happy and excited my heart almost burst. Everyone was celebrating.
They fouled and our best free throw shooter went to the line -> missed.
One second for them to go all the way down court and score - impossible! That is impossible.
No one in the now silent bar was breathing.
I still have nightmares.

Thanks, but as a Tiger fan, I’ve seen the improbable(as well as impossible) play way too many times. Longest second in college basketball history besides the Duke clock operators antics.

He definitely didn't get that shot off in regulation. That should've been a Tiger W. I was just a couple months old though so I didn't get to see it in person

If you were the former, thanks for the years in the uniform.

As for that day in 1990 -- some days we get the s-end of the stick and it's all we get. Sounds like that was one of them days.

Dang on Tate George. I remember. We had a team that year. I won lots of money off my Dook buddy. I remember the elite 8 in 80.

I also remember watching Steve Fuller in the Valley. Yup, I’ve been around a little while. I’ve always bled orange and purple and was blessed to be born into a Tiger home. I’m still young enough to have enjoyed the last two natty’s with my father who introduced me to clemson.
