the book on our friends in Orange County N.C. They can find no wrong doings. Duh! As someone who well remembers our probation years and the influence that the Heels had at that time, I am truly pi%%ed. Refer to the article in todays 'observer'. No link.

those schools that actually took their NCAA (and ACC) punishments like men. I can honestly say that UNC is barely above SCar in my eyes.
I, too, lived through the added ACC probation.

that props up their basketball program with our and FSU's football money. Only option for us is to beat the heck out of them at every opportunity in every sport.

I agree, but they did go a year without any postseason and

it may have cost them a trip to the ACCCG. They had a couple of years of lost scholarships, and ruined recruiting because of the investigation itself. They have also had their academic reputation ruined forever. They can no longer make some of the public ivy claims without having fans of other schools laugh right in their collective faces. They can no longer make snide comments about other schools cheating, etc.
Everyone knows just how nasty and corrupt the entire setup was up there. Everyone also knows that an athletic/academic scandal that involved university courses for athletes and somehow managed to miss the basketball team is laughable.
In the long run the damage that was done to their image will be much more hurtful than anything the NCAA could have done.
South Carolina, on the other hand, on probation for the second time in five years, had no reputation to damage.

there is only one bigger ######### in the history of college football worse than ol ball sack, and that is #### Crum...and they fired him...they have been corrupt for years and will be as long as Duke is good in basketball...I still blame Smith for Lefty and Norm Sloan getting run out of the conference and Tates Locke too. When their football team went out to Okla and got beat 49-0, Barry Switzer called him Denny Crum several time in front of the press...

The UNC basketball program didn't get touched though

even though they were just as guilty. There were apparently classes where their was only 1 student enrolled in the classes, and they were basketball players.
UNC wasn't properly punished. This was one of the most blatant instances of cheating in college sports history. Even UConn had to miss the NCAA tournament last year because their players' grades and graduation rates weren't high enough, but UNC gets to continue going to the postseason after they cheated.

A lot of UNC fans don't even care about football though...

Some UNC fans would rather have 100 years of bowl bans over even 1 year of an NCAA Tournament ban.
