Agree with TO, Brad needs to hire Tanner Smith...

Good 4 year player at Clemson. Had success under OP and Brad as a player. Hugh character guy with his Tanner's Totts foundation. Also from Atlanta. Currently doing a good job as an assistant at Stephen F Austin. They were 22-9 this season. Also coached at Charlotte and Miss St. I could see if Brad started turning things around They, Tanner could be the next Coach after he retired
To, said 3 coaches? Hmm?

If Brad looks at that he was former player and that is reason to not hire him, shame on him. Tanner helped recruit real well at Charlotte and Miss State. Remember his Tanner Toys program? Delivered goodies to kids with cancer at the hospital as a player at Clemson. Still does that today.

"Shame on him" . . . Why?

You've already started a narrative against Brownell when you have absolutely no knowledge of the situation. Brownell may have a list and Tanner may be on it. I would find it quite odd if Brownell wouldn't hire him because he was a former player, so it's even more odd (odder?) that you would immediately go down that line of thought.

I wa replying to the post about Dabo doing it, then Brad should not. Tanner has proven to be a good assistant at other stops. He would be one of the first guys I would call. Brad might want a lot of experience, but I think a former player under him would be great.

nctigs, who has never set foot on our beautiful campus, is king of the passive negative post. He thinks no one notices but that is not the case.

Weirdo.
Weirdo.
no, unless Brad had a problem with him. He loves Clemson and also tweets things about the athletic program. If he passes on him, guess he could be a future HC after some other stops and then gets HCing experience somewhere else first.

Here we go again. "nless Brad has a problem with him." Your extreme dislike of Brownell is bordering on obsessive compulsive. I would try to find a hobby that doesn't involve Clemson basketball.

And you actually bring up a good point.
I would love to have Tanner back at Clemson. But I think he’s smart enough to at least be hesitant to take a job with a lame duck coach. Not sure if one year on staff would be enough to build relationships with current admin for future opportunities.

It's interesting that the top shelf portal guys have not listened to the delusional haters as they are still visiting and making a commitment to CBB. Its almost like your prediction of a quick departure from Clemson is nothing but hot air. I would assume Tanner would believe the same if offered.

CBB's assistants are in demand so he seems to not need help in choosing the next round of assistants. Especially someone who has never set foot on campus nor built a basketball program.

If CBB were to retire from Clemson, then:

He must have hit the PowerBall jackpot and...
1). Sailed off to a tropical island with Judge Keller to continue their lovefest. OR 2). Is paying a couple of million each in NIL $$ to the top 10 recruits every year to keep his job.
