A) Dabo expected/wanted this
And
B) this didn’t largely come from Bates feeling overlooked
I guess you can’t make everyone happy but I hope Dabo picked the right guy to keep. We will miss Bates’ recruiting skillz as much as his position coaching.

a few D coordinators. Oddly, BV announced Ted Roof as DC and I guess is walking that back to co-DC with the addition of Bates?
Anyhoo, makes ya wonder what Ricky Sapp is up to today. Maybe he could bring some of that yung joc swagger back to the DL.

and I think some pseudo title promotion that wasn't co-DC that Dabo likely was hoping would ease the pain for Bates getting passed over by Goodwin/Conn
Feels like another misread by Dabo, really hoping I'm wrong though and he turns this offseason around
