If by "no pressure" you mean with one defender each at his ankles and one charging at him...and if by "easy pitch and catch" you mean "a ball delivered 25 yards with perfect touch, dropped right into a 2x2 window where only his receiver could catch it in a do-or-die situation" then you're right.

good journalism, regardless of the venue. The "maroons," I would suggest, are those who either deliberately or unintelligently failed to grasp the significance of the play. 4th and 16...trailing in the score...very little time left...a last gasp, gutsy call to move the chains...a nearly perfect execution that kept football aficiandos glued to their TV's across the nation. Don't believe it? You should have read the comments on other school's sites after the game...including some within the SEC!
Frankly, I don't give a hoot in h3ll what ESPN or their ilk print, publish, squawk about or promote. At some point they have to consider carefully all teams' records, and if a particular school is amassing a heck of a record of wins, then they are going to have to acknowledge such...or lose whatever credibility they have. They aren't completely stupid.

we are prejudiced toward Clemson. I do know this: sports writers and coaches across the nation have never hesitated to move Clemson up in the polls previously, when we have excelled...and down, when we haven't. I don't perceive any adverse attitude against Clemson nationally, but rather an organization named ESPN that promotes their main product...the SEC.
Our main responsibility, as I see it, is to promote ourselves...and hopefully, the wins on the gridiron will take care of the rest.
