recommendation goes a step beyond what I would do, but I understand it. The vaccine has not yet reached FDA standards for approval, and if I was under 50 I might choose to not take it until it is approved. Under that year, the risk of covid would not, for me, outweigh the unknown risk of any still experimental vaccine. Would have to think about it, which I have not, because at +50 the decision was easy for me: get it, by all means.
Remember Thalidomide. The Euros went with it, the FDA didn't, and aren't we now very glad? It is not reactionary to avoid a non FDA drug if one is in a low risk category. Kids are almost no risk.

It was a consensus from our advisors that until this topic is investigated more thoroughly, it is in the best interests of the children to protect them from the unknown implications of being in close proximity for the entire day with a teacher who has very recently taken the COVID-19 injection.
Wut?

She's concerned that the COVID Vaccine may effect the reproductive system of unvaccinated people that are near recent vaccine recipients? And she says this is happening a lot, but no reference material is sited. And a quick Google search found nothing.
This almost seems like a fake letter, the reasoning seems so outrageous.

I would have recommended, but when you're dealing with a non FDA vaccine, and if you're responsible for kids, and you read any article that reports some anomalies, and you decide to say nothing ... in today's world, dont think you can't be held accountable.
The letter can't tell anyone to not get a vaccine. My guess is that all the employees will get it anyway. And if I had even written a letter reporting what I had read, I would not have worded it like that. So it's a tempest in a teapot, and I wish I had not responded at all. I did because I was responding to the OP's wording, which comes from a perspective that the world is divided into two groups: people who get the vaccine (or some such label) and "nut jobs". That is not true by any means, and if it were possible to be true no one here is capable of making that judgement.
Let's scour the internet, find somebody somewhere saying something we don 't like, and get all indignant about it and and make a scathing post. That'll show 'em. Like I said, I'm sorry I even responded.

doesn't get the vaccine. I got it...glad I did...and I think everyone should. But I don't know everything and the simple reality is that the fatality rate for young people is such that waiting on the vaccine may indeed be prudent. Over 80% of Americans over the age of 65 will be vaccinated before the end of May...that is by far the greatest statistic in all this (assuming the vaccine does what it is supposed to do). Fatalities SHOULD plummet (and they are already way down), even if the overall adoption doesn't reach that level.
Having said that...like I said, I couldn't even find this "covid vaccine issue" on a Google search...this woman must be reading some fringe stuff, and if she leads a school, she ought to know that and at least provide some reference material. Where is she reading this? WSJ? Or "Johnny's News on Things I hurd." Or worse...Tigernet?
We stopped a vaccine distribution because 6 people out of 7 million recipients of the Vaccine got blood clots. We are not being cavalier. There's no legitimate evidence that there is any concern and to imply that someone vaccinated can significantly (or at all) interfere with the reproductive system of someone who is just close to them is so scientifically outlandish that she would need to know more information is needed.

chinese depopulation virus brought to you by john kerry
"tens of thousands of women all over the world have recently been reporting adverse reproductive issues from being in close proximity with those who have received any one of the COVID-19 injections, e.g., irregular menses, bleeding, miscarriages, post menopausal hemorrhaging, and amenorrhea (complete loss of menstruation). No one knows exactly what may be causing these irregularities, but it appears that those who have received the injections may be transmitting something from their bodies to those with whom they come in contact. We think we can all agree this is a new risk that may impact reproductive systems, fertility, and normal growth and development in women and children."

Holy shyatt! The vaccine must be plutonium or strontium based. Seriously, how do some people get out of the rain? While it is possible that the vaccine may have yet to be determined adverse side effects, it obviously doesn't cause increased intelligence among those exposed to vaccinated individuals. There is zero osmosis going on.
