But some of us are superstitious at times.....

I used to have a favorite cup....then a favorite hoodie, then most recently a toy football from my late Labrador.....

Retiring all those and trying something new soon.....

Mine is my 1961 original rat hat. Doesn't fit me now as I got the BIG head after graduating, but I get it out on game day and wave it in the air when we score. It did not get waved much after Danny got fired and is being waved less this year. I rarely wear my Class ring as I don't esp. like wearing rings, so it still looks like new. Maybe I will start wearing it on game day and see if that helps. The rat hat brings back many game day memories of 1961 season with Frank Howard on the sidelines wearing his hat, tie and sport coat. And me sneaking in a flask of bourbon to sip on during the game and sharing with my buds. It was all gone before the end of the first quarter. And meeting at the paw at the end of the game. Some things are just better if they never change.

had a buckeye tree in his backyard. Every year we got a fresh buckeye to rub for good luck. He would also hand them out at football games.
