And Nick Saban calls timeout and fires Lane Kiffin on the spot. Thats how that goes with grown-up teams.
Break this down any way you want. Recruiting is great. Watson looks really promising. Our defense played their tails off......but there are really horrible game-management coaching problems on this team. Who's the boss here anyway? The coaching staff needs to break the film down on themselves and learn how to win in the moment.

our butts in the Georgia Dome. Replace "Alabama/Saban" with "New England/Belichick" from my original thought. Same idea. Our OC has to make the right football decisions in the red zone...and if he won't....the head coach has to. If that had happened, then we wouldn't all be pissed off right now.

The point is, last season we out performed the team/coach you used for comparison. We're fine. We are a very good team with very good talent and very good coaches.

Well I guess Dabo missed both of ours huh? Guess he also snapped the ball over Watson's head and fumbled at the 16 as well? You can't have it both ways. Just because it is Saban it is OK right? Whatever...........

I guess you don't know or listen to what the coaches tell you, the reason Watson was not under center was due to the fact Watson has problem with the center QB exchange when he is under center. Also the starting center was hurt and the backup was in the game.

combo in Division 1 football that can't take a snap from center. All you have to do is practice it 25 times with every possible combination. NOTHING that couldve happened with Norton and Watson-under-center could have been worse than what happened with him in the shotgun

With more and more high school and youth teams going to spread type offenses the number of kids with experience under center decreases every year.
And I imagine that Morris & company would have worked with Watson taking snaps under center in the spring but Watson got hurt.
