The problem with those grain alcohol drinks is that you go from zero to leather tongued, falling down hammered in about 15 minutes.

Amen corner is expanding apparently. I also think all of the places that opened up on King really hurt their college business.

The "cool kids" with the bank did a pub crawl. Brick was closed at the time we wanted to go there, so we went to Wet Willies. Imagine 50 people converging on that place at 3 in the afteroon. Of course we got daiquiris. Bigger problem was, we stayed for two drinks. We picked up 10-15 more people, one who was very interested in grabbing my man hood, until her date showed up at Mad River 2 hours later.

since the Brick, Speakeasy and the two ghey bars burned down. Social closed a few months ago too. Use to go to the brick 3-4 times a month, never once went into Wet Willies. Saw a lot of hair gel and skinny jeans going in.

Upper King really is becoming the party joint. Since they don't allow street drinking at the market they may as well try to cultivate the Upper King portion and let the Market and East Bay area have a different breed to drunkard around it.

They even put them in different cups so it wouldn't look obvious that we were drinking in public at 2PM on a Thursday.
