When starting a Post, are you more concerned about..

sharing information, desiring kudos (TU’s), being funny, staying at 100%, getting responses or looking for viewership numbers.
Over the years I’ve wanted all of the above when posting, but last year or so it’s been more rewarding to see the number of viewers that my post garnered (sometimes up to 4-5K) as well as responses since that is a sign that the topic was a worthwhile read (or lure), whether controversial, educational or just good ole news.
What’s your goal in posting?

I try and anger people and ruin their week. That's all. Other than that, I just try and keep it practical with no goal intended. It varies on what the topic is and what forum/board.

Grammer is first and foremost on my mind... after that probably number of views, because that means someone is actually interested. Thirdly, I don't want to accidentally say something that can be misconstrued.

Sometimes I wonder whether to continue posting at all. Never played or coached organized football, so I bring no expertise. Occasionally I try to go for a laugh, but my jokes generally fail, and I am a bit technologically challenged. I still can't post an upright photo consistently (although it appears that Spud has that figured out now).
I am a fan first and foremost, but also an alumnus and a Clemson dad. As such, my posts trend to the "pumper" category. But for the reasons given above, most of my takes are either dumb or misunderstood, or both. I occasionally get called a coot, and almost always have someone take an aggressive opposing stance to my posts. I am here to support my team, to interact with other Tiger fans, and to learn.
I loved TigerNet back in the day, and still do, but am trending downward. There is just too much vitriol, on just about every topic, for my taste. Between the personal attacks and the inane posts made to garner laughs, there just isn't much of substance any more. Too much nonsense that does nothing to enhance my love for my Tigers. Of course there are posters who I follow and enjoy, but they are a small group. TigerNet is largely a great, supportive and generous community, but I may need to leave posting to the younger, hipper crowd.
