Why so long to adjust

I’m just struggling to understand why it took us over 3 quarters to make the adjustment to a two safety shell? I understand trying to defend run and hope pressure stops passing game enough early, but once you consistently see DBs getting beat on an island why didn’t things change?

Is there something I’m missing her as an armchair coach here?

1. Depleted secondary
2. When we did switch, WF ran it on us with ease. We had to pick our poison. Blitzing the house worked for a quarter.
