My understanding is that he has not.

Which is why I'm asking, because one would think that he would've by now if he intends to proceed with the NBA Draft as planned.
I'm guessing that he has signed with an agent, and I just missed it...

He's probably just holding off so that he can fully weigh the options of NBA or taking his talents to Charlotte for a year of high level Conference USA competition.

News is scarce regarding our b-ball team....

Many questions.....
1- Did we hear from the coach after the season? Any reflection on the year as a whole, (it was a pretty good season, we made the dance......as well as the massive missed opportunity in a weaker bracket after another first day ACC loss?)
2- Any word on incoming transfers? We know guys have left and there are needs. We see transfers committing elsewhere. Are we close to landing anyone?
3- Any word on the plans of Simms and Bahre? I assume they are gone, but am interested to see where they land.
4- Not sure this can be answered...but what was the deal with the recruit that switched to Wake?

1- Nope.
2- Nothing to see here. Everything’s fine.
3- No
4- We were told he needed to go somewhere close to home. So he chose a school that’s still more than 100 miles away from his home.

My biggest complaint about our fan base is that we don’t educate ourselves enough to see what’s going on in college basketball as a whole. That’s not to say our program is never worthy of criticism, but I greatly prefer to hear the comments—even criticism—of fans who understand what we’re up against relative to other schools.
While the Omax transfer took us Tiger fans by surprise, there were over 50 transfers out of the 15-school ACC this year. Many were surprising. So our losing 3 players is—once again, average. A grad transfer, an under-used reserve, and an under strength rookie. Losing Omax is more about prestige and potential than actual production, so hopefully the other rookies step up. To me, Sims’ graduation is by far our biggest personnel loss.
We still have plenty of talent, plenty of defense (losing Newman hurts there), plenty of scoring if we played up-and-down, enough ball-handling. Not enough strength in the middle, and who knows how much heart, and will we have the skills and discipline to play BB’s style?
Some of the other ACC transfers are established starters at historically successful programs, and to outsiders appear to have no reason to transfer. Except that they can, so they do. It’s obvious that individual players leave for all kinds of reasons BESIDES disliking or dissing their coach.
The last couple years Brownell has been very successful tapping the transfer portal. I would suspect it was a stopgap source until he got more of the guys he wanted. I could be projecting, but I think he’s happier with the current roster than the last couple years, so I’m not sure the portal could help much this year.
