Watson's injury, can't be a torn ACL.

Nov 15, 2014, 9:26 PM

The chances of Watson having a torn ACL have to be extremely low. He walked himself to the locker room, without limp and unassisted. I would think a torn ACL would mean a stretcher or help from medical staff. I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not.

I apologize for the "post happiness" today.

I wish that was the case, but I've seen a few players walk off on their own with a torn acl.

I tore mine twice

the second time I probably went 2 years continuing to play baseball and never knew until I had a run of a few twists of the knee and just went and had it checked. Sure enough it was torn and I'm fairly certain I tore it a couple years before but never had it MRI'd

Wrong. I knew a 17 year old that walked around for 2 weeks on torn ACL.

Not really a telling sign. Players have actually played whole games with a torn ACL. Tony Steward played his whole senior season of high school football with a torn ACL

It could be a bad strain to it or a minor tear. Not saying we should play him obviously.

Re: You can still walk on a torn ACL.***

Nov 15, 2014, 9:35 PM

True. I currently walk on a torn ACL that I tore almost 3 years ago with no issues. I never got the surgery. Walking on a torn ACL soon after injury is common, however. When you tear it completely, it severs the nerve, so it actually doesn't hurt as much. When you partially tear it or sprain it, it will hurt unbelievably.

That's incorrect. You can walk with a torn ACL, MCL or Miniscus tear.

Also, I'm sure the team doc already performed a drawer test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxyuDnRSggU
in the locker room. I think they already know, but the MRI will confirm. :(
