Ngata is as healthy as he's ever been. Brannon Spector has been around all summer & fall camp. Davis Allen has been available all camp as has the RB's.
That leaves EJ Williams (back) & Beaux Collins (shoulder) who were out for about 10-14 days during camp. Seems like there has been plenty of reps taken by the vast majority of the WR group.
And, as far as we know, everyone has been available for a few days now and will available for game prep this week for GT.
Walt is reaching.
Beside, it's gonna be a heavy dose of ground game with our 3 headed monster in the backfield.

leader. Its usually 1 step forward, 2 steps back. i look forward to someone out of this crop to finally distance themselves as a legit threat. Looking at the names and the potential there should be 3 elite receivers on this team. Need YAC and receptions in traffic to be elite (and also the obvious... a 5 star QB should be a blessing not a curse, we shall see.)

They will see plenty of reps. Not knocking the teams we play in September, but none of them are quality. NC State is our season opener. As long as we are ready by then and get better by November, cause Notre Dame and Miami should be very good.

All I can tell you is you better hope Cade is the real deal because just like Walt just said, how can you beat an Alabama or OSU in a playoff setting without at least a competitive passing game? How can you realistically expect to accomplish this with the man from last year starting again? How? You can’t.

i question if we have the quality of wide receiver that we have had in the past but I think it's a capable bunch. I'm much more concerned with the QB giving them an opportunity to be successful. A good run game and a decent QB run option will get WRs open. Our offense needs to get out of it's own way. Last year when we would show glimpses of having it together we would always find ways to turn the ball over, get a penalty, drop a pass, miss a block, miss an open receiver. It was hard to watch.

We’ll hopefully be able to pass right out of the gate, against GT then improve as we go until Nancy State, etc. We can’t have a run game only and beat the better teams in the ACC. I felt better before listening to Walt; while we hope and pray, what have we really seen? His reference was the WR’s but if looking back to last year, the same question would apply to the QB as well.
Go Tigers !!!

If you listened closely, he was sort of saying that. He even said that maybe Cade’s running ability is the key to unlocking the offense. I have always listened to the Roar, they are VERY VERY sheepish when it comes to any criticism towards DJ and his poor play. Another thing I’ve noticed on the station and even on Tigernet, the enthusiasm is down this year. Cade Klubnick can change all this if he is just half the QB DW4 or TL16 were. This team just needs average! Anything more would be huge.

That’s your opinion. He’s arrogant sure, but I totally trust his opinions more than the other boot lickers on the air in the Upstate. He is polarizing, but the guy is very knowledgeable.

B. Collins has had reps since high school lol. I expect all the WR's to step their game up after last season, DJ was bad....but they didn't help the cause. They all will be playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Hoping for someone to emerge no doubt but don’t feel like we are where we have been in that position for sure. New year, new team. Lot of talking right now but we will know something in a month or so. Hopefully before that.

Walt also said we would have no drop off at QB with DJ and that he was certain to win the heisman.
Walt also said Tiger Woods would never win again. When he did Walt did his best to backtrack and make excuses.
Bottom line.....Walt is wrong as much as he is right.

Not saying he was inaccurate or wrong. He does have a point about being concerned. But I’m just as concerned about DJ’s accuracy as I am the WRs not making catches. One has to be as consistent as the other. We will see Monday night.

What's happened in the past is usually the best predictor of the future but let's hope last year was a one time fluke and that we aren't playing walk ons at any point of competitive games this season.

IMHO, if the QB can put the ball inside the wingspan of the WRs (which we struggled with last year) we should be just fine. Hopefully DJU has some much needed confidence in the pocket and can improvise and be precise with throws on the run.

After last year it has to be a concern. We stunk at WR so we must improve if we are going to win this year. We might win the ACC running the football but no way we win a playoff game without a passing game.
