the Orange Bowl to lesser team then the one we played last night. Then we lose 3 NFL caliber players with very little experience to fill their void. Do we really think Venables could magically turn this around in one year? I didn't and I don't. I will wait and see how we look by the end of the year (where we started and where we end) to make a judgement call.

I still think we have 10 wins this year!

Venables can only teach and prepare. I really think the defense lacks the strength and talent to compete with teams like fsu and bama. Talent is there with the youngsters. Our upperclassman looked lost. Coach V will get Clemson defense back. His track record is good. More importantly depth is coming RN,lawsin, pagano, rogers, daniels, tankersley, boulware, elijah, and hopefully adams, alexander, and a safety...dabo is building the team foe future..mike stoops built his defense in 3 yrs and now they are solid..clemson defense played good in spurts lastnight. Who knows what quality depth would do for this team. It was apparent they got tired. Fatigue on top of a shaky defense wasnt a good combo. The kids fought and im proud.

his quick success made people think it would happen to Venables. Ignoring that Morris inherited a good RB, 5 star QB, and one of the best WR combos in the nation.

My complaint is we still have terrible fundamentals. Poor tackling and awful angles killed us last night. When we get to them in the backfield we hardly ever make the tackle, and my gosh, arm tackles all over the place.
