Do we need a new OC or do we need scrap the two co-oc system? Or, is everything good the way it is? What say you?

So I'm reluctant to change it.
With the talent we have, could we better? Hard to say.

It seems they are absolutely amazing people and recruiters, but it seems like we aren't getting the max out of what we have. They are so many variables. It could just be the players just not getting it done. It could be the Oline. It is just a question. Personally, I don't like what I am seeing from our OC's. I am sure I am one of the many. That said, I am not sure why it isn't working.

Would we be the first team to ever fire an offensive coordinator who had a 95% winning percentage over two season and coached the first QB to ever throw for 4000 and run for 1000 yards in a season? I swear some people on this board must huff paint between games.

You are going to try to back out of this because you didn't say the word "fired"???? Give me a break. You said "Do we need a new OC or do we need scrap the two co-oc system?" we all know exactly what you were saying. Coaches don't get demoted when things are going wrong they get fired, or forced to quit.
And considering we are at the max number of coaches if we got a new OC one would have to be fired.

This a reasonable question. There is no need to call people names for asking a question. We're better than that guys. Sure we are 21-1 but you want to be proactive not reactive. We question players all the time and they are 21-1 too. I think the coordinaters will figure it out and improve but right now they are very predictable. Ask yourself this? Could they land another big OC job right now? Prob not. I'm glad we won but we need to get better in all areas of the game and that includes the COACHES

I am as die hard as it gets. We have just raised our standards to extremely high levels. We aren't clicking and haven't all year. We may never have a better QB than Deshaun Watson. e all expected more, so it is a reasonable question. Why aren't we clicking? I don't know.

So you think the O has been good this year? You're satisfied with the O this year? I love our team and our coaches, but just wondering why the O has be somewhat anemic this year and not living up to what we(I apparently)had hoped. The year is far from over though.

if you look at the stats the o has been every bit as good as last year. the turnovers are unacceptable and naturally skew our opinions of how the o is performing. lets just hold on to the ball and surely everyone is happy.

That said, the O hasn't looked good all year. We will never have a QB like Watson again. Something isn't right? Is it the talent outside of Watson? Maybe it's that the fire isn't there? 500 yards is solid. East Carolina put 30 on NCSU. Heck, Old Dominion put 22 on regulation on NCSU. Aside from yesterday, the O hasn't looked good this year. JMO We are undefeated, but we just haven't looked good yet on O this season.

We have to take care of the ball.
If we do, everyone will once again be praising the efficiency and effectiveness of the Clemson offense.
If we don't practically every game will be a dog fight.

It is the coordinaters Job to coach fundamentals and that includes turnovers. At the rate we are turning it over I'd say it's a trend and they are particularly to blame for that. Especially since they are the position coaches and get paid handsomely

Our OC have that record because of BV and Deshaun. I think they're average play callers with great talent when Watson leaves we will see.Just my 2cents though.

all other drives ended with a score or turnover (and once on the 1yd line).

THAT is unacceptable playcalling by the OCs?

That said, we just haven't looked good yet this season. We were supposed to have one of the best O's of all time. You're satisfied with our O this season in Watson's last year? Don't get me wrong, we may put up 50 on FSU and it will all seem like nonsense. Just so far we haven't been clicking all season. I am loving being undefeated. I just see some ###### in our armor.

LSU get top rated QBs and their WRs seem to get drafted and do well in the pros yet their offense is usually ####. So I'd say "yeah" bad calls can certainly be made and could be detrimental to talent.
Our offense is still ranked in the top 30, yes not as good as we hoped, but we also don't run it up on garbage teams like others do.

without the blunders we would have conservatively scored 37 points......scoring on every drive but 2 all day.
CU 1st Fumble 6-50 1:51 (we were in FG range when Gallman fumbled: take a FG - 3)
CU 1st FIELD GOAL 13-77 4:25 (6)
CU 2nd Punt 3-5 1:25
CU 2nd Downs 12-64 4:31 (on the 1yd line, should have had TD: 13)
CU 2nd TOUCHDOWN 10-75 1:53 (20)
CU 3rd Interception 1-0 0:09
CU 3rd Fumble 14-78 4:29 (fumble on 1 going in for a TD: 27)
CU 3rd Fumble 5-39 1:49 (Williams fumbled on the 10, in FG range: 30)
CU 3rd TOUCHDOWN 10-77 3:46 (37)
CU 4th Punt 10-25 4:44 (without the stupid holding penalties, we WOULD have scored at least another FG - that makes 40 points)
CU OT TOUCHDOWN 8-25 0:00 (would not have happened)
--------------------------------- It's not an offense problem, it's a MISTAKE problem. Play a clean game and we coast.

Remember when we were ready for Morris to move on because we never truly had a "smashmouth spread" offense.
We loved what our new OC's did.
They are still doing it. Our execution and mistakes are the difference.
Our offense from game 1 to the championship last year was vastly different.
We always go vanilla early and especially before a big time opponent.

Dabo has turned this program into one that expects excellence. We expect it from our players, fans, and coaches. Our head coach is excellent, Brent is an absolute stud, abs our OC's are average to above average. They need to be better. And my hope is that they will be. If not, well you know what should happen

a perfect 14-0 season. So yeah, fire our OC and hire somebody with a proven lifetime success rate of what? Well let's see, they've won 21 and lost one so is it 21/1 for a 128% win ratio or 1/21=0.4 %. How about you doing the math for me since I'm really dumb and need accurate math skills to tell they are winners or losers.

Well you can't have a win rate over 100%. They have 22 wins (bowl against OU) and 1 loss. 22/23 = 95.6%
