I don't think BC had to try and hit against that OSU

pitching staff to make a super. It's not like we don't know how to score runs. We scored 39 runs in two games against the other regional opponent. You have to think they have a pretty special pitching staff. Solid pitching and timely hitting get you to the CWS. We did not have either vs. OSU, unfortunately. But I'd be willing to bet OSU will make it to Omaha with that pitching staff.

its just frustrating that Louisville, Miami, Boston College, FSU, and maybe NC State will all still be playing from a conference that we won

Well good, they should, and it's about time, they are always expecting Clemson and FSU to hold the conference up!!!

To be fair we just won the tournament, not the regular season.

Baseball imo more than any other sport is where teams can get hot and go on a run. That's why the MLB season is 162 games. Over the course of the season, we were .500 in conference. Yes we won the conference tournament, a great accomplishment, but nobody really believed that meant we were the best team in the conference.

It is. But if you look back at how we were able to squeak

out that tournament title, it was done on some really hot bats and heroic pitching from guys who had been shaky at best all season. (expect Krall, of course). I'll give Monte all the credit in the world for how he was able to maneuver our roster around during that four game stretch to get us that title. Excellent job using the existing talent on our roster.
I honestly do not think we are the best team in the ACC. We are definitely top tier, but Louisville or Miami would probably have my vote. But we got hot at a really opportune moment and rode that momentum.
We didn't have the pitching staff to survive an Omaha run and frankly, we probably would have gotten bounced by the coots and then we would have to endure losing to them in the tournament again.

So am I reading you right that the new Clemson mindset is we should be glad to avoid the Coots because they might beat us? Because that kind of sounds like that.

No, I'm saying it was better to get bounced by the pokes

than the coots. Anyone would agree. This was a much more welcome exit to the season than at the hands of the coots. Now we can enjoy our ACC tourney title, celebrate our first national seed in a long time, and recharge for next year w/out having to listen to coot fans in the event that they beat us at home.

Can't agree with that. Rather make it to the post season

than not make it. Rather make it to the Super Regional than just the Regional. Rather make it to the CWS than just the Super. Put aside the fact that we can beat the Gamecocks, I always want us to go as far as we can. If the Gamecocks did knock us out, we'd live.

Just hand in your Clemson fan papers and become a Boston College super regional fan. That should make you a happy fan of college baseball. But don't come back when we Clemson fans are so happy about going to a super regional every year with coach Lee. Oh yea, and we will be going to play in the college world series also, where BC will never go!!!

I see a few future perfect statements in there - a SR every year for Monte Lee here out, a CWS appearance (I guess that future imperfect since you don't put a number of trips or a time - but it is partial perfect in that it will happen within whatever tenure Lee has), and BC will never go to a CWS. Do you normally speak in such extremity with nothing to back it up?

Just plenty of faith in our baseball coach. It took a while but, I said we would go back to another NC, just by faith in our Clemson FB. I don't have a crystal ball with time and dates, just faith in Clemson to never stay down!!!

If you aren't ecstatic about winning over 40 games with this bunch, then I can't have a serious conversation with you.
