The person responsible for that schedule needs to have their head examined. I sure hope the team got to fly.

Reminds me of my playing days when we would take the University vans to Virginia for a Thursday game and turn right back around a couple of days later and drive back to College Park, Maryland for a Sunday match.

The ONLY TIME I recall flying anywhere was when we played in the Seattle Kingdome for the 1984 national championship.

The 1st goal posted, by JENNA TOBIA, was such a nice long “touch” shot over a misplaced goalie’s head!!!

The 2nd goal shown, off the foot of CAROLINE CONTI, was a pure cannon shot from outside the box!!!

The 3rd goal posted, scored by MARIA MANOUSOS, had a superb deep lead pass by MEGAN BORNKAMP . . . a truly beautiful goal!!!

I wish the other 2 goals had been posted as I missed watching it “LIVE” . . . Looks like I missed a doozy . . . My bad!!!

Only one I can compare it to is the early days of Clemson Women's Soccer with the Augustyniak twins. Particularly the 2000 team. That team finished 19-3-1 and won the ACC Regular Season title, but then had a disappointing tournament season. Hopefully this can be our first team to excel in both the regular season and the post season.

In women’s soccer this year. Noticed that Riggs has tons of plaudits for the men but the best the women have ever done is the elite eight
