Too bad it’s rainy today…..unless he wants to ######## and put his life at risk, this is a no brainer. 43 years ago I went thru the same visits and this is really a no brainer for someone with a brain.

I would believe Georgia tech has the lead. Clemson is really good at this portal thing! Dabo is trying to prevent his guys from leaving but replacing people is not easy if you don’t have the money!

GA Tech has more in-person contact opportunities to close the deal than we do.
Brent Key was also an offensive lineman himself. In addition to this, GA Tech’s OL unit has played well.
I’d feel better about our chances if Rutledge wasn’t planning to make his decision so soon.
Sounds like we’re getting a good chance, though.

Money and portal contacts are probably issues too. Has to be a friend or family member we can get? Pearman can’t do much w/o money and Dabo. Frank Beamer thought he was not a great recruiter. So he gets overpaid by Clemson to do very little until he retires! Lol

Not sure of tbe accuracy, but I just saw that his visit today will not happen. Posting said tvat he was in a car accident and will visit today. It did say that everyone is OK, but visit will not occur today. Hopefully it can get rescheduled.

I hope he is ok. Probably an accident in Atlanta near Georgia tech. But their colllective will probably get him a new truck! What can Clemson offer, a rental or used truck!

Clemson could sure use him but sounds like he is leaning towards Ga Tech who beat Clemson to the punch involving the portal.
