Glad he stayed and it shows what you can do waiting and competing for your time, but the portal was around his sophomore year.

I agree the use of it has certainly changed. I just think that it is even more impressive that he resisted the urge. Saying that he would have used it if it had been available, downplays the mental toughness and determination to ignore the temptation.

It is easy to understand why Dabo will be in the Hall of Fame and makes more money in 1 year than the people that complain, moan and groan will make in their lifetime. Thanks to Dabo for coaching our team and for making a difference in the lives of his players.

Valid argument for our players not entering the transfer portal (they still do), but totally invalid argument for not getting players out of the portal. I wish coach would just do whatever he wants and quit trying to convince others that the portal is evil.

He's never called the portal evil.
He's stated at least a dozen times that "we have just not had the right opportunity to use it yet"! But, that he would be willing to do so.
You can't believe everything you read! Same goes for me; but I heard the man say it just like I just typed it and I believe him.
If the players on campus now are who the staff believes they are; then we should be good to go for at least next year! After that; we have some catching up to do.
But, what has he done to make you doubt him?

No doubt. My point was 'why' spin the conversation in any form to the TP? I appreciate coach and whatever he decides goes. Just seems like he feels a need to comment on it frequently.
As far as using it or not, we will see with our low scholarship numbers.
