Saying we have powerful hitting is misleading. To say we loaded the bases in game 2 with hits is a farce. We had 3 hits in game 2. The others were va tech bad news bears but we were unable to make them pay.

As it seems to be turning out, our hitting is not as good as last year. We were given a lot of cred for last year super regional appearance. We had a lot of sophomores rising to juniors this year and with the exception of Val, no one has taken the next step.

Our pitching and good defense can only take us so far. We'll likely end up 3rd in the acc. In all likelihood we'll face #6 seed Notre Dame and then Duke in the semis if we win.

.250-280 hitters aren't worried about losing their starting positions because there is no depth. There are 25 players on the roster and maybe 10 play every inning of every game. Over the course of 50 games, fatigue has set in. The staff needs to take a hard look at the roster in the off-season.

Totally agree. Had tons of midweek games and even weekend games against week competition. Why have we not seen Jadeyn Ruszkowski until we were forced to. Comes in and hits a dinger. Luck, perhaps... but it would have been nice to give her more chances. Worked out for va tech in the first game. 3 straight pinch hitters and I'm sure that wasn't their first game.

I agree. Interesting that Ruszkowski pinch hits with Coach Rittman not being in the dugout. I wish there was someone pinch hitting for Aida who is not hitting well and a liability to the team (she fly’s out or pops up).

For a new program we have been absolutely amazing. We look a little fatigued and I'm sure Ritt will learn from it and make adjustments. I'd rather drop a few now and still have time to adjust than lose the regional after winning 40+ games. I think we will figure it out, the talent is there imo. GO TIGERS!!!

Compared to the other top schools in the country, we are not and have never been a very good hitting team.... currently we have only one player hitting for an average that would be in the top 9 on the Oklahoma roster.

Rittman erred once again by allowing Cagle to stay in for 7th inning giving their batters at least a third go round at getting to her which has happened now twice in the last week - both 5 run rallies to come from behind to win - Should have relieved her in 7th inning both times and given their batters a different look! Would have won both games had he done that! When will he learn his lesson?
