KD never plays a down at LB in his NFL career, calling it now.

He's needs to gets as big and strong as he can to the point that he can still be quick and flexible.
He'd be a better Tight End than Linebacker. Maybe I just don't have the right idea of how they'll use him.
Who knows.
But I agree with your prediction.

I think he's a DE in ANY defense.
If Jacob Coker can put the okey doke on you when you square him up, then Linebacker probably isn't your thing.
Would be a real good DE tho

Not a all.
Kevin Dodd is a defensive end in any defensive formation imo.
Great coming off the edge against the run or pass, and he would be fine rushing the passer in a 3-4. But he's not built to play in space as a Linebacker in the NFL, imo.
I have the same concerns about Kearse playing Safety in the NFL. He's just not built to play that position.
Btw, feel free to ask a complicated question about defensive formations if you're feeling froggy.
You're just being passive aggressive to try and make yourself feel better. Hope it worked.
Have a great day. ?

AS A LINEBACKER.
Bad in space as a linebacker in the NFL

Dodd is even quoted in the article as saying he'll see how Linebacker works out.
As a DE I have zero concern.
Just seemed strange to draft him in the 2nd round to not play DE

you do realize OLB in a 3-4 is not the same as OLB in a 4-3?

He won't be playing in space very often, he will be playing the same position Demarcus Ware plays...It doesn't appear you are familiar with the differences in a 3-4 DE vs a 3-4 OLB...You're welcome to youyr opinion, however mistaken it might be, but the GM's seem to disagree with you

That's fine. They get paid a lot to know football better than me, and if I'm wrong I'm ok with that. I'm a volunteer hs football coach that has a lot to learn, and I coach offense. But I do like talking football.
I'd rather have a Dodd at around 280-290 and never having to stand up. I just don't see it.
You disagree and like being pasdive aggressive. Good for you.?
I ain't quitting my day job anytime soon, but I will be posting here.
Feel free to call me out anytime you disagree. I'll live

I can only imagine how he must've felt! Im stoked that the titans called him though, hes not too far away from his family, friends and Clemson University. He can make it back to catch the Clemson games a good bit. Im a little off put by the desire to have him play LB but it wont matter where hes at he will be disruptive anywhere. Cant wait to see him in action.

Kearse has as much upside as anyone on the defense. But apparently there's something these teams don't like about him. Currently mid-way through the 5th rd, and still no sign of him.

He played LB and DE. He was a DE at Bama, has the NCAA record for sacks I believe, yet played OLB in the NFL and obviously thrived. Although, Dodd is bigger I believe. I agree it does seem odd, but maybe it really isn't that odd.
