NFL preseason games. Pre-season game tickets have the same face value as regular season - and they are part of the season ticket package. You have no choice but to buy them. So if you have $100 tickets (about mid-range seats), you are paying $100 to watch a scrimmage featuring non-roster practice squad players.

As a season ticket holder for 2 different NFL teams in the past (Panthers the year they were in Clemson, and TN Titans), I have experienced it firsthand.

about mid-season, if the team is hovering around .500, they are considered a playoff "contender" by the NFL machine. So they send you a playoff ticket order form. You can opt out if you want (but few do). You have to pay in advance for your playoff tickets, send us that money!

The kicker is.......if the team doesn't make the playoffs, you don't get your money back. No, no. It is applied towards next year's season tickets. So you're essentially giving the team owner $1000+ interest free to hold onto for about 9 months. What a deal!

I’d rather watch grass grow than NFL preseason.

Of course right now with these storms rolling through I can’t watch anything live. So catching up on Yellowstone.

I live in the sticks or as Sonja use to tell me the woods.
