Do you think FSU is "that good" or did we just not show up?

I mean, I think it's a little bit of both. I think if we played that game 10 times FSU would win 9 out of 10. They clearly looked more talented but seriously are they really the second coming? I think we just didn't show up at all in this game. The early turnovers, Tajh pressing and not recognizing blitzes, receivers dropping balls. Was this really the same team that beat a healthy UGA? I don't know, I just can't help but feel like we really #### the bed more than they are just this amazing, all-world team. Thoughts?

Watch the FSU-Boston College game on Youtube. I watched it last week and came away with the conclusion that we would beat FSU. We could have, if we had showed up.

points better - some of that was mistakes and then a broken spirit on our side for sure, but they are clearly better.

We were ready to play but everyone underestimates how big that was. It took away our excitement and gave them all the confidence they needed. When we failed to capitalize on their one mistake it was all it took to break our spirit for good.

Let me start by saying

FSU has some horses at every position. They played very well, and they deserved to win. Jameis is the real deal. Very impressed with his poise given his experience. With all of that being said, this game started with an ill-timed turnover, and the game seemed to snowball out of control. In fact, you can argue that we basically gave spotted them a 17-0 lead, which is suicidal against a team that loaded. It was really a dream scenario for them. They never had to worry about Jameis handling the pressure because the crowd was taken out of the game early. We'll never know what might have been without that dreadful string of errors to open the game. Hats off to FSU. They took advantage and put us away early. Just have to learn from this and push forward! Love me some Tigers! All in!

They kicked our butt last night plain and simple. They were ready, we weren't. We have not gotten better every game as Dabo always says. We have gone downhill and yes I think giving up 323 rushing yards against Syracuse despite the win was a big negative. Sloppy last week with the ball and same thing this week. They say they know what their problems are and the problems can be fixed. Well they weren't fixed. I saw a very soft team last night until I turned it off.

FSU is a better team right now, but only by a couple of TD's if the Tigers don't fall apart in all areas of the game. Let's face it, Clemson, at the worst possible moment in the season, obviously prepared/played/coached about as bad of a game as possible! I believe that the Tigers were put under unbelievable pressure by the media, by those crazy Tiger fans clammoring for a "noise victory", and by Dabo's constant "glass half full" optimism trying to convince teenage players that "We have greatness in us", instead of a more realistic approach of working our butts off every week to improve on our weaknesses.

was the first game I got that Alabama Georgia Dome debacle feeling wash over me. Even the Orange Bowl destruction didn't feel like that. And I wouldn't be surprised if FSU goes on to huge things this year, much like the way we sent Bama on their way and back to National prominence.

to them looking real great, but in all fairness, they are pretty legit. They are VERY experienced in the WR core and O Line. That was honestly one of the best O Lines I've seen in our conference in a LONG time. They shut down our strengths and exploited our weakness, that's what good teams do.

I don't think we had to worry about any of our players thinking we are the best team in the country. Dabo couldn't be taken seriously by anyone ever if he tried to make out like we are still better than them.

it would have likely been a very close, competitive game. Momentum is a very powerful thing. FSU is better than us, and we have some things to work on. But we aren't nearly as bad as it feels like we are right now.

I definitely think it was a combination, but mostly it came down to we didn't seem to be prepared for their level of talent and they were ready for ours. Whether that can be attributed to the fact that they had two weeks to prepare or that we thought, "This is our house, nobody beats us in our house" I can't say. But I do know that we did not play to our potential Saturday night.
The only thing I can say for certain, though, is that we canNOT let Florida State beat us twice. And by that I mean Dabo, Chad, Venables and the rest of the coaches and leaders on that team need to turn the focus away from that and focus on beating Maryland. Yes, they got dismantled by FSU as well, but the game is at their place and they now have hopes of hanging with us because they saw us get destroyed in similar fashion. Like Dabo said, one game does not make or break the season (although it does change the way we approach certain goals I feel) so we have to move on and aim to be 11-1 come December.
GO TIGERS! BEAT MARYLAND!
