Advantage...Hokies?

Dec 1, 2016, 1:51 PM

Clemson fans have been buying ACCCG tickets since before the season even started. VT did not even know they were in the game until last week.

Their fans travel well, too, and this is their best season in a few years. We are dumping tickets and calling for boycotts, and all the while making the trip cheaper for THEM. $9 tickets?!

Come on, Tiger fans! I hate the change of venue too, but don't take your frustration out on the team by not supporting them. Join me in Orlando!

They act like the ACC will care if they don't go. The only

people that care if Clemson fans don't show up are Va tech fans because they'll be there. This comes across as more of an excuse than anything and I doubt most of the people making a big deal about not going because they're "standing up for their values" would be in Charlotte if it was still there. If you can't go or don't want to go that's completely fine but don't use "I'm standing up for what I believe in" as an excuse. You're no better than the ACC at that point and it hurts no one but our football team.

Hokies fans arent going to go for many of the EXACT same reasons people here aren't going.

Not necessarily. Some people are trying to go to the playoffs. Thats already 2 expensive trips to top off a trip to orlando. I went to Arizona last year and spent about 2k on just that game.

Thats why I said "many of" ;)

But cost, distance, timing of the weekend like us are an issue. They also have a second destination to go to (bowl) just like we do.

And of course the fact they just made it in

It is ridiculous to see end zone tickets for $10 and 50 yard line seats for $118!

there. I don't so it's TV for me and mine. I would be there if it was in CLT.

FWIW, I made it to all the post season last year and spent a small fortune...can't do that again.
