Zaxby’s Chicken sandwich review

Much better piece of chicken than their tendies have become. Could have used some lettuce and a slice of tomato.
Will eat again.
Got the lime soda too. A little sweet for my taste but it was begging for a couple of fingers of rum.
What’s the deal with having someone stand at the curb and take your order instead of talking to the speaker?
Taco Bell is doing it too. Some kind of attempt to keep up with CFA I guess.

Roast beef sandwich, some spicy mustard, muenster cheese, sourdough bread, no veggies on sandwich. I did have a yogurt though and a glass of milk.

How was my lunch?

Leftover chicken salad from last night. I've been getting a whole chicken on the Sunday grocery run the last couple of weeks. We roast with veggies on Monday nights, then find a new recipe to do with the other half of the chicken on Tuesday. So far, it's worked out deliciously every time. The chicken salad turned out spectacularly. AND...now we have 3 weeks worth of chicken parts on the stove since 8am this morning making chicken stock for chicken and dumplings next week. A whole chicken that feeds two of us for two nights in a row has averaged around $3.50. Don't know why I haven't been doing this long before now, and it's really not that much extra work, if any.

also keep a ziploc of veggie trimmings in the freezer. When we have a few of them full they go in a pot on the stove to simmer for a few hours.
Pumps up your grits/rice and makes a nice soup base.
