Why did Phil Mafah only have 3 carries against Pitt?

I believe his last carry was in the 1st quarter for a touchdown. Why does TE not run the ball, which is the one thing this offense does competently?

I'm guessing Pitt was using a defense TE wasn't expecting. We shouldn't blame him.

Our Tigers have lived a good living on the
50/50, explosive plays, hero zero plays over the
past few years, this year they are not.

Only pass play that's had any successful impact has been to the TE
When we're in the stands and know what the play is going to be
James Skalski said it best saying over the years he has seen it many times
Other Teams have also
Dabo said we are who we are, now others know also
The fake punt pass to a TE for a 1st down was 1 of the best plays all year
Don't change who they are, don't change what they doing, change how their doing it
think outside the play book, they have the players, call plays they can run...

when we got behind we did nothing but pass
and qb option to run which didn't work
