I bring good news!

Hey errabody. I figured in this time of misery over the slow death of our football program, I would bring tidings of good news.
Plus, I forgot to update yall. A little while back, Rose and Doug (dogs) ran off in the middle of the night. Doug came back the next morning which made us really worried since they always stay together. There was even trail cams from a neighbor about 1.5 miles away as the crow flies at 3 am of them romping around together.
Anywho, after 2 days, I started thinking Rose was not coming back. After 4 days, I posted here, about 90% sure she was gone. 2 days after that... the story breaks down something like this.
Some guy was walking through the woods walking one of his dogs and saw a dog way off in the distance in the woods. He took a picture of the dog and sent it to his daughter who live in Denver now. This family is animal lovers. Just a fun text between dad and daughter of how their days were going. Well, she used to live around here as well, and our dogs have gotten out several times over the years. Usually someone sees them and lets us know, or they mostly just come back on their own when they grow tired of their little adventure. Anywho, this girl found them once, so she knew our doggos a little.
So, she tells her dad that it is not their next door neighbors (several acre properties here) it is Rose. She gets on Nextdoor and shows her parents that our dogs are missing. He goes and looks for her, but can't find her. Later that day, a delivery guy saw Rose near the road, stopped and took her back to the nearest house... which happened to be Denver Girl's parents. So they let her know, we get a call from a girl in Denver to let us know that her parents have our dog.
A couple of hours later, and we are reunited. Rose looks absolutely non the worse from wear. She does not look skinny, not disheveled... perfectly fine, so she took care of herself as she was galivanting around.
TLDR: Dog was missing for over 6 days, thought she was dead, several people went out of their way to make sure the dog was good, we got her back

In my neighborhood, there would be 10 people telling you how awful you are not to have had them on a leash if you even think of taking them outside.

Are you worried about her running away again and are you making any adjustments to make sure you don't lose her again?

cut. I spliced it back together, but somehow, that reversed the polarity. Basically, they both would be inside the boundary no problem... going outside the boundary, it should have shocked them, but it didn't because of the reversed polarity. Now, with them outside the boundary, it has triggered the collar to activate. So, the run off, probably came back... and once she came back in, she started to get zapped... thus she stayed out.
Doug's collar we just found out is completely broke. They haven't tested the fence in over a year, so we didn't know it was even a problem.
