They fed genetic data into a supercomputer, crunched the data for a week, then presto. A possible explanation that at least makes possible sense. And explains a lot of things previously mysterious. Best part is it leads to a whole new area to explore treatment with drugs that already exist. If nothing else it gives insight and explains what happens to the body in severe cases.

And...... In a small study one drug has also shown real promise. At least this has some real science behind it. More than I can say for the shotgun approach with HCQ. This is much more targeted and specific.

Still, being high risk, pumping the vitamin D is just insurance.
