Texas A&M - Still The Fools In All of College Football

They made that fool contract with Jimbo Fisher. Now, their AD just left for Ohio State. Evidently, the folks that signed the GOR in the ACC went out there and drew up the contract for A&M's athletic director. Per a link from The Athletic posted on TexAgs, if the AD left before his contract expired he has to pay to the school a penalty of $750,000. However, if he wants to leave before said contract expires the school has to pay him 1.094 million dollars. LOL!! You can't make stuff like this up.

"He will also receive a lump sum payment of $1.094 million to compensate Bjork for the $750,000 buyout he had to make to Texas A&M for leaving before his contract ended."

I think I'm going to apply for a job in the athletic dept. there. Any job will do. I just want to assure myself of a luxurious retirement.

It’s only money and the government gets a pretty good chunk of that before he does so really I doubt he will be able to afford a couple of nice meals after the dust settles.

If you were hiring an AD, would you hire the A&M guy?

Is paying the $1.09 million - not aTm…

I still agree with the OP though….

Texas A@M makes the U.S. Government look like penny pinchers. I don’t blame the administration, it’s the absolute moronic dumb arses who keep funding the awfully managed athletic department. Hint, don’t donate and they’ll run out of other people’s money
