I remember this call, don't remember whether I saw it live since life was more crazy with work and kids in those days. Nice that I finally saw the NCS player 'giving him the business'.

brother this clip over Christmas while at his house in Alabama. He and his son thought it was hilarious!

Then ... since my brother grew up a coot, he and his son got tickets to see SCar play UConn in the Birmingham Bowl that year. Within a few minutes of the game starting, he texted me to say that Ron Cherry was the head official. I texted back, "Prepare to be cherry-bombed." And, they were. SCar lost that game 20-7.
