to remember 1987 when we were 6-0 on the season then too,
were on a streak that would win 14 out of 16 ACC games,
were still celebrating an earlier big 1-point win against rival UGA (hail yeah!),
and playing a home nooner (I believe) against a NCST team
that would finish 4-7 on the year?
If not, ask Rodney Williams about that game.
I shore do hope Deshaun Watson or Christian Wilkins or Mike Williams
remember that game;
or someone tells 'em....

Seems we were down 30-0 or something at halftime. Williams passed his arm off that afternoon and if memory serves me, we fell 30-28. Something like that. Too lazy to look it up.

Rodney led the comeback and ( I think) got the lead.......then they got the late score to ruin the comeback. I was in high school listening to the game in my car(seems like a dreary day at that.....especially since we lost)

State led 30-0 at the half. Rodney threw over 50 passes in the 2nd half. We cut the lead to 30-28 and had the ball, moving toward the Hill, with about a minute left. Rodney threw over the middle to Tracy Johnson (FB), who was open, but the Umpire failed to move (some say intentionally-- I was there and it looked like it to me) and deflected the ball. Game over. Tracy would have had a first down at around the NCSU 20 yard-line, with an easy winning FG attempt. NCSU had -18 yards total offense in the 2nd half... Really bad memory... NOT TO BE REPEATED Saturday!

If however the team does not show up with intent to harm on Saturday
then a 4-1 team that can score might be a tough out - dumbsh!t.

Believe me, I was there - unlike you apparently, dumbsh!t.
That day, almost before you knew it, it was 30-0, at the freakin' half dumbsh!t,
and a glorious, bar-no-holds, pass-happy, Danny's-gone-crazy comeback couldn't pull the game out.
And just like that, that year's streak was over.
Just when you think it cannot happen, is generally when it does - dumbsh!t.
