TraIn Up A Child....

So, I don't know if I've done this correctly or I've ruined my Granddaughter. She is 7 years old and these are some of her comments when with us....

While I was watching Presbyterian women play on the Coots floor in the play in game, she walks in the room, sees the logo on the floor, and says, "Papa, why are you watching that mess? Come on Mimi. We've got more important things to do than look at that junk."

Seeing coot flags flying in peoples yards, she says, "We need to go take those flags down and burn them."

Riding in the car, there was an electronic billboard that flashed a uscjr ad up and from the back seat her voice rings out with, "Y'all don't look. There's something disgusting up ahead."
We told her we saw it and she said, "I hope we're able to sleep tonight after seeing that image."

One of the family members tried to get her to say, "Go Game*****." (I can't even say it) To this she replied. "I can't say that. That's a bad word." She was asked who told her it was a bad word. She replied, "Papa did."

Am I doing this right?

I have been brainwashing my daughter since birth. But now I am looking down the barrel of four years of out of state tuition. Uh oh. Should have thought this through.

Raising a kid to be a coot fan is literally child abuse.

But misery loves company so they keep churning out proud losers.

Safe to say she won't be a candidate of the dark side.

I’d say you’re raising her perfectly!! My daughter is 9 and she hates the coots. We all filled out our March madness brackets and she won due to her love of Clemson. Believed in them even when I didn’t. Sounds like I need to learn a thing or two from her ha ha

Absofrickinlutely… that is just beautiful to hear. Absolutely poetry to my ears.

My 2 daughters are 12 and 8 and we hear comments just like that all the time.

The first piece of real clothing that touched both of their skin was the paw. Orange and regalia runs through those youngins veins and forever will.

They’ve been taught that ridiculous looking chicken is as big a loser as the school itself.

My youngest is by a different woman than my first and that was a huge clucker. On her 4th birthday I’m walking towards the back room to grab some clothes an I stop at the door bc I hear my 4 year old and her mom in the bathroom talking and her mom was trying to get her to say “GO Game….”…. My 4 year old looks up at her mom and the exact words were… “Mommy they’re losers… why do you pull for them? Me and Daddy are know what it feels like to be winners and we say GGGGOOOOOO TIIGGGEEERRRSSS”!

lol… needless to say… her mom was not happy with that remark…. I on the other hand have never been more proud haha.

It was a great day when my son said "thank you for raising me a Tiger fan".
