than chemistry. The Bio Chem would be at a disadvantage.

I need someone that can spec out and size tanks, pumps, heat exchangers... We deal with chemicals and having the chemistry background would be very beneficial. I am mechanical engineer and have another mech E. We understand the physical properties but do not know the chemistry side very well.

I dont know much about the Bio Chem degree. Is there any engineering background? Like I said, there would need to be familiarity with tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, etc. When I think of biochem, I think more of molecular study with microscopes and the such.

How much moolah?

I'm a ME with 13 years of industrial maintenance and process engineering experience. Pumps, HX, hydraulics, pneumatics, lube systems, you name it.
I need a dedicated fiber line for tigernet activities, fridays off, $150K salary with paid overtime, 6 weeks of paid vacation, baller season tickets to all home and away Clemson football games including bowl games (travel allowance included), private bathroom, happy hour at the office, and a personal assistant that won't sue me for harassment. Oh, and a company car. And a company truck, 4 wheeler, and boat.

but I will allow one of those... happy hour at work.
Maybe the personal assistant as well, but it would have to be your wife and she would have to agree not to sue for harassment... from anyone.

Someone that is fed up with corporate life. Probably wont get paid as much base salary, but have a whole lot more freedom. I dont have a vacation policy... my policy is, I have work that needs to get done, get it done. I am not paying someone to come sit at a desk for 8 hours a day.
I also do bonuses... it puts you with skin in the game. If you bust your butt, or come up with ideas/processes that make us more efficient and more profitable, you get some kick backs for it. Profit sharing, basically.

you should be able to touch 130k for the salary. Or back that experience up to about 0-5 years.

I don't quite make that money now, but I've had the same job since college. That being said, I'm not far off, either. I wouldn't hop jobs unless the pay was at least $130+ some sort of bonus and potential for way more money... and I'm not taking on a bit of extra responsibility other than the bare minimum that I do currently.

how about this degree?
Pharmaceutical Sciences - B.S. DESCRIPTION: The Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences is an undergraduate degree program that provides students an understanding of how pharmaceutical drugs interact with the human body, medication delivery methods, drugs research and development and how biology, organic chemistry, and biochemistry play a role in the pharmaceutical sciences.
The Pharmaceutical Sciences program offers hands-on career development where classroom learning delivered by outstanding faculty is combined with real-world laboratory experiments. This major provides students the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices Laboratory and the opportunity to work directly with faculty members on laboratory-centered, independent research projects.
